It should be alarming that even Christians seem to not only be questioning the deity of Jesus Christ, but also don’t seem to think it’s that important! Today on the Sanctified by Truth broadcast we’re beginning a short series on this very issue. This study was taken from a Christmas service which was focused on the significance of the pre-incarnate Christ, that is, that He existed and was active in the dealings of the earth long before He came to Bethlehem as a baby. So many of the Christmas carols speak of His significance with phrases such as “Jesus, Lord at thy birth” and “veiled in flesh the Godhead see, hail the incarnate deity”. Are these phrases accurate or, because of the influence of so many cults, is there a trend to now question whether Jesus Christ was God at all? He was and is God and, as we’re about to cover, this is not obscure or difficult to see in the Scripture. We’re going to cover a lot of ground in this first session, so please listen carefully.
