It does seem surprising to realize how much faith is a part of true love. Today on the Sanctified by Truth broadcast we’re finishing the list of qualities that Peter stresses in II Peter chapter one with the concept of love. But if ever there was a term that was misunderstood today it is the idea of love as described and defined in the Bible. This type of love is ironic in that it needs some form of contradiction to it to actually be exercised. This is the same type of love that God demonstrated towards us as sinners and by nature the enemies of God. As will be discussed also today, these listings of virtues are to be steadily growing in us as a natural by-product of being in Christ. With these as our focus, we are promised to be stable throughout life, even when, especially when facing the many inconsistencies and turns of life.
