Stubbornness might at times appear to be a strength, but when we are stubborn against the clear teaching of God’s Word it is anything but a strength. Today on the Sanctified by Truth broadcast we’re in II Peter 3 where Peter is warning of the mockers that would come, ultimately trying to distract Christians from their focus. It is essential that we not allow our focus to shift because of the every changing tides of popular thought and the fear of embarrassment when we find ourselves standing alone for what is right. Many will mock even in our day using the very same wording Peter warned against where they will declare that all things have been the same since the beginning of time, while dismissing the Biblical account of the Flood that happened, as Peter made clear, “by the Word of God”. These warnings are just as applicable now as they were then so please listen closely as we begin.
