As Christians, we are called to be overcomers, not pacifists. The enemy puts forth the world and worldly thinking and philosophies as a dominant force with which to be reckoned. We are called to overcome worldly thinking. We were not born in the age in which we live in order to take on the same values it has. Faith is exhibited in the hard times, it is supposed to be hard! We are here to overcome hard things, overcoming things that are easy is not 'overcoming. People are not 'wired' to find true contentment in worldly things.
