Grace is the high note of Paul's life - it is this amazing grace that has saved us and will keep us in the holy war. Tychicus was a grace-filled messenger from Paul and a gift of grace to the church at Ephesus - beloved by God and his fellow believers. This epitomises the heart of Paul which was gripped by grace. If we are gripped by grace, we shall have a generous spirit - nothing given up for the Lord is in vain. We will also be encouragers of one another, even in times of trial, helping us to stand firm. Our trials are not mainly about us but for the encouragement of the saints. Grace-filled prayer was also a mark of Paul's care for the church at Ephesus - for peace to the brethren, increased faith as we grow in Christ and grace, that the love of God might remain and grow in our hearts. Correspondence, visits and prayers are major means of enriching one another and encouraging in the faith. The Lord will never leave or forsake us - grace remains!
