What we are and think affects the way we behave and, as Christians, we are called to walk worthy of our calling. We are to walk in love, remembering Christ's self-giving love for us - our love for one another and for others is pleasing to God. We should have hearts set on Him. All sin is self-centred and opposite to love. Fighting immorality is through a life of thanksgiving, overcoming the pollution of sin and trusting Christ to save us from God's wrath. We are to walk in light - the fruit of a holy life is evidenced to the world by the fruit it bears. We are also to walk in wisdom, being diligent and thoughtful, using our time well, seeking to understand God's will for our lives and remembering what He has done for us. The Word of God should be rooted and grounded in our hearts so that the Church displays the heart of Christ who came not to be served but to serve.
