In his prayer for the Ephesian church, Paul gives a pattern to imitate. He expressed gratitude for the Ephesian church, showing that consistent gratitude leads to greater gratitude, as we give thanks for the working out of God's grace in our midst. A faithful and loving fellowship should be the result of our love for Christ. As Paul prayed for the Ephesians, we should remember the importance of praying for all the saints - there should be no spiritual limitations in our prayer life. Our knowledge of God gives us a certain hope which is glory, reminds us of our inheritance and the immeasurable power of God. As we remember that we are joined irresistibly to Christ, we are to show Him forth to the world and trust the Holy Spirit to grow us up in the knowledge of God.
