Repentance always accompanies the faith of an active believer and is characteristic of the Christian walk. The church is to be absolutely different from the world and believers are not to walk in the way of the world. We are not to forget that we were saved from futility of mind, ignorance and blindness and that we now have renewed minds in Christ - we have a personal relationship with the Lord and are re-created in the likeness of Christ. Gospel reality produces gospel morality and helps us to put away sin. What we do with our bodies now matters and we are not to grieve the Holy Spirit by living like the world.
