There are many who oppose the gospel and how King David behaved towards Saul who hated him is a lesson to us as we face a hostile culture in our world. We need wisdom in dealing with our enemies. David showed Godly aggression toward his enemies while at the same time not being afraid of them. We are to remember God's word that makes us wise and helps us to demonstrate what God has done for us. The weariness of sin gives us opportunities to speak of God to our enemies and seek their spiritual welfare. Christians should be warm-hearted and generous in their dealings with unbelievers, whilst being wise in dealing with them. We are to be rooted and grounded in Christ.
