If we are truly Christian believers, we need to show this by the way that we live. Learning to submit to God's will in all of life is a sign of Christian maturity. For wise Christian living, we need to remember the folly of the self-sufficient life - God's will is to be at the centre of our planning. Life is also uncertain and complex, beyond human control, so we are to remember that God is in control and it is He who establishes our steps. Life is also fragile and brief, so we should have an eternal perspective, not living for this life only. Seeking first the kingdom of God should be our priority, remembering that Christ gave Himself for sinners - we only have true forgiveness if we put our trust in Him.
