We are to ask God for wisdom above all to help us navigate trials in our lives and avoid anger or bitterness. Wisdom does not equal knowledge - a wise man is one who hears God's words and puts them into practice. Wisdom is marked by humility and a fear of the Lord. We need to go to God as the source of wisdom who gives generously to His children. We are to ask God in faith for wisdom - believing is an expression of trust and confidence in God's ability to answer. One who doubts will not receive - we need single-minded devotion to the Lord, simple, child-like faith trusting in God's continuing love through all our trials. The Father is the source of wisdom and Christ is that Wisdom from God who embodies all that we should be.
