God is the same God who has always been. He works in the same sort of ways He always has worked. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. God has not rejected His people, and He never has. In a similar way that the United States has a Reserve of trained men and women ready to rise up when needed, God also raised up a people in the early church who were the faithful remnant, His reserve, who would continue on in belief, faith, and obedience to the One True God. They were those who believed in the Messiah that God sent into the world—they were humble, individuals who repented of their sins and believed upon Jesus for their forgiveness of their sins. God always has His reserve, His remnant who are called to serve Him in obedience. Does God still have a remnant of people in our day? Sometimes we as Christian’s in the United States talk like Christianity is disappearing, and that faithful people of God are disappearing in this nation. Sometimes, those of us who are truly standing firm in our faith, we feel like we are the only ones left who are standing for God. But know this—in these days of an increasing evil age, God has reserved seven-thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal. God has His people in this day and age who are standing firm in the truth of God, even in a world that is increasingly becoming godless—yes, God has His reserve in this present-evil age. Men and women who will stand firm in their faith no matter the cost. And when they are needed to proclaim His Word, God will raise them up. Men and women who will speak and live out God’s truth no matter the cost. Are you one of them? Are you one of God’s reserve? Are you willing to stand firm with the Lord God Almighty when He calls forth your name to serve Him? I pray, may it be the case, that you are a part of God’s faithful reserve, one of the remnant who will stand firm in God’s truth, no matter the cost, in these days of increasing wickedness. click on the link below to listen to this sermon:
