Let this day be a reminder of the power of Jesus Christ and the beauty of what He did upon the cross and the wondrous news that He has risen from the grave. Christ is calling you to Himself, to surrender Your all to Him. God is not calling you to earn your righteousness by trying to follow a bunch of rules and laws. God is calling You to Christ Jesus. Come to Him who is the only righteousness that you need to have. Surrender your all to Christ. Your good deeds won’t cut it. If you think you need to clean your life up first before you can start coming to church and following Jesus Christ—well, let me tell you, you don’t understand the gospel very well. Christ is calling you to Himself so that He can clean up the mess you have made in your life. Come to Him first. Humble yourself to Christ first. In Christ and Christ alone is your righteousness. Clothe yourselves in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Learn to follow Him. And once you come to Him, don’t turn away, don’t turn back, because apart from Him there is no other way to be saved from your sin. In Christ and Christ alone is your salvation. Follow Him in obedience. What great hope you have if you are in Christ! One day you will hear His voice calling to you, “Arise!” And you will rise up from the grave, and you will live with Him for eternity in the bliss of His Kingdom.
