It is an observation of mine that holidays tend to elicit deep responses, many times emotional responses, to normally repressed feelings, fears, and heart struggles. In recent days I have thought of the sick, the afflicted, those physically immobilized, and the grieving and their feelings and thoughts during this time of the year when so many are talking about happiness and joy.
