Introduction: We are in a section of the Book of Hebrews where Christ is exalted as the Savior. Christ’s value as the Savior of sinners is clearly in view. But it is also true to say that this passage points the reader to the means by which Jesus, the Savior, saves sinners. He does this through suffering and death; He came in human flesh to save sinners through His own atoning suffering and death.
