Introduction: Sometimes the Bible couches its message in narratives that either tell a story or give a historical report. In either case, the main idea and message are contained in the way the story is presented to the reader. In this passage, Paul is reporting on the service and state of a man who had represented the Ephesians and served Paul and Christ in the process. Paul references the way that Epaphroditus served, what happened to him in this service, and the value that such service has. Tonight, we will see a good example of a faithful Christian servant in the life of Epaphroditus.
