He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalm 126:5-6 NASB Our text tonight brings great comfort to the hearts of God’s hurting and discouraged people. How often God’s people suffer in their obedience to God! A thousand opponents strike us seeking to make an end to our Christian work. Adversaries within and without smother us with attack, resisting us until we would faint and fall away. But, Christian friend, we must heed our text as a promise to us from God. We must not fail or falter, but we must continue on in the work of the Lord. And if we will do so, we will find a happy harvest in that bright day of God’s choosing.
