Introduction The church faithfully observing the Lord’s Supper is proclaiming the Lord’s death. The church proclaims the Lord’s death upon the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the salvation of sinners and their justification (acceptance) before God. When the church celebrates the Lord’s Supper, the church is preaching the gospel of the cross, and does so visually, purposefully, lovingly, and meaningfully.
