Hope in the Lord Experienced in Life’s Hardship We might be tempted to say that we are surprised to find such expressive statements of hope and confidence in the Lord as made by one who was hurting as much as Jeremiah was as he wrote Lamentations. But in another sense, it is only in such circumstances that strain, stretch, and test us that we come to truly know the goodness of the Lord.
