Introduction: There are moments in life that leave one breathless with a sense of wonder and awe. This might occur when one sees a majestic part of God’s creation that simply overwhelms the sight and the senses. Or, one might have a similar feeling when something life transforming and wonderful happens. This is the feeling that I have when I read this passage of Scripture. The concepts contained in this text are so outstanding and extraordinary that it simply boggles the mind and the heart. And yet, to grasp what this passage is saying is so important in life that I feel that unless we “get it” (i.e. understand, embrace, and enjoy), we will not live in the peace and happy contentment that God wants for His people.
