Revival and the Glory of God There are many practical reasons for desiring revival. There are moral reasons, ministerial reasons, and personal reasons why Christians should pray and seek an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon the land in revival. But the most important reason why we need revival is for the manifestation of the glory of God on earth. Sin and evil rob God of glory, but revival brings people to God in righteousness, belief, and obedience. When revival comes among the people, God is GLORIFIED! The psalmist prayed, “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and your glory above all the earth (Psalm 108:5).” This is the heart of God’s people, that God be glorified among the people in purity and in truth.
