Psalm 63:3-5 “Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.” This passage does two things: First, it declares in clear terms the greatness and worthiness of God, and second, the writer of this passage testifies of his soul yearning and satisfaction with God. By uniting these two ideas together David states strongly that the greatest blessing, the greatest joy in life, is to know God. Nothing equals this, and to know the Lord in Christ is the greatest thing of all.
