"Servants That Are Saved, Sanctified, and Secure" | Jude: Contending for the Faith

• Jul 25, 2021

Speaker: Jonathan VandenHurk

Jude 1: “Servants that are Saved, Sanctified, & Secure.” Many people say that we are living in the last days. We are not yet living in the time of the last seven years before Christ’s Millennial Kingdom described in the Book of Revelation, because the church has not yet been caught away. But I believe we are living in the time just before that, which is represented by the little Book of Jude, which many have referred to as the lobby or vestibule, just before the Book of Revelation. Jude says that in these days, we have a duty and a danger – The duty is we must always contend for the faith. The danger is there always are apostates trying to creep in unawares and bring in their error with them. But Jude also tells us what God’s people can do in such a wicked day. Even the first verse of Jude is encouraging. Jude introduces himself as “the servant of Jesus Christ.” And he is writing to fellow servants who like him he says are SAVED, SANCTIFIED, & SECURE.
