Romans 14, “Don’t Destroy the Work of God.”Today we come to the family kitchen in our tour of the “House” of Romans. As we sit around the table Paul addresses the thorney issue that some are not being welcomed to the table because of what they choose to eat or not eat. Here we learn how to put all questionable subjects into the perspective of the day we will stand before the judgment Seat of Christ. There are some things worth fighting for, and we ought to have the courage of true convictions, but there are other things that if we fight over them we are endangering the work of God in the lives of others. This is a practical sermon about how believers in Christ are to live together in peace despite personal differences. We will also hear tonight the Sunday School sing, and sing together, “Rejoice, the Lord Is King,” “Now I Belong to Jesus,” & “I’ll Live For Him.”
