Abstract: Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  Faith comes from outside us as a gift from God. With faith things spiritual become clear and we live in a different way. For all of these heroes of faith, all realised that there was something outside of our life that affects our lives. The level of persecution of the early Christians was significant. So the main purpose of the letter to the Hebrews was to reassure them. This world is not our home yet, until Jesus second coming. God wants us to be perfect, and one day God will make us perfect. God is not ashamed to call us His children.
