Speaker: Alan Lorrimer-Riley

Abstract: There is not a simple translation of the original word 'praus', typically translated as gentleness. It is the quality of control of the person of anger and emotion with a teachable spirit. Gentleness is not weakness it is a proper control of anger. We have strength but choose not to use it. Jesus had the right to be aloof, but chose to take pain, suffering and death as an indication of gentleness in action. One of the first sign of this Fruit growing in us is our relationship with God, meekness is accepting that God is in control and get in line with His purposes. At the second coming, the meek will have a job to do for Christ. We mist allow Him to take control of all situations and trust Him to do the best for us. We should be gentle in our dealings with others. God provides the Holy Spirit to work through us to do what God wants in God's way.
