In chapter 1, we looked at the Israelites first two questions, Is God Loving? and Is God Worthy? Today in chapter 2:1-9, the Lord answers the question, Is God Serious? God commands the priests to not only hear His commandment, but to LAY IT TO HEART. In order to purify the sons of Levi, the Lord of Hosts (which He calls Himself four times in this passage) has given the priests "this commandment," "my covenant," "the law of truth," "knowledge," "the law at his mouth," "the way," "the law," "the covenant of Levi," and "my ways."
