Our Goal Tonight Our goal tonight in this talk is to attempt to get a right understanding of the Law of God as given in the Old Testament in the context of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to form a proper framework of understanding as to the right use of the Law of God in the life of the Christian. We will also seek to understand the role of “law” (note distinction between the “Law” of God, indicating the Mosaic Law of the Old Testament and the “law” as given by Paul, relating to the inner law of the human conscience and the use of “law” as biblical commands and their place in Christian living) as found in biblical commands in both Old and New Testaments and the use of that “law” in the life of the Christian.
