Lydia and the fortune-telling slave girl were very different characters, yet they both had the same needs. Christ is more than equal to the challenge of saving and changing anyone. He brings us to himself in different, but appropriate, ways. None of us is too good to need conversion. None is so bad that God cannot save us. Always, conversion leads to a distinctively Christian life, very different to the life we lived before.
