We must not study the Bible to interpret it in any way we choose. I do not have the "right" to be right in my interpretation of Scripture. I have an obligation to strive to actually be right/accurate in my interpretation. One's spiritual condition affects one's ability to correctly interpret Scripture. We must analyze and identify our presuppositions when we approach a text. One's drive/motives will also affect their study of the Bible. We must be sure that bias is not our illuminator, The Holy Spirit is our Illuminator, our Challenger to do what is right.
