We are not to limit God's working to what seems evident to our eyes. We are not to be boastful, looking down on those who are wrong. Do not write off God's working in light of seeming contradictory evidence. Has God thrust out entirely His people Israel? God's plan was not altered from its path, neither could it be. It was God's work, God's keeping, not Elijah's failure or God's failure. God will always empower to do His work, in His time and in His way.
