Like Paul, we should be concerned for others. Our prayer for the salvation of men must be indiscriminate as we do not know who is or who is not one of God's elect. Genuineness in truth is not just doctrinal knowledge but also having a burden for others and a life governed by these truths. What difference does the truth make in our lives? Biblical theology is to produce practical theology. We can adulterate God's truth by our emphasis. We devalue truths by neglecting them, or underestimating them. If we condemn ourselves we discount Christ's work, we cannot condemn ourselves. When we judge ourselves we should do it in light of Christ, not excluding Him in our discernment.
