Abstract: The Psalm begins with something we all must do which is to look on God. God always is. When Jerusalem descends, as given in Revelations it will truly be perfect. Judgement for the people of God gives serious concern for those not of God (1 Peter 4:17). We are told to 'listen' but this requires us to listen intently, carefully and adhere to what is said. If we do not understand why God wants us to do things, then doing things is just a waste of time. God's true punishment is to allow us to do what we want to do rather than what He wants. God delays dealing with wickedness to ensure the most people can be saved. Those who follow God will be changed to perfection looking after the Earth returning it to how it was intended to be.
