Word of Peace Lutheran Church
What We Believe As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we believe in the basic principles of Martin Luther's theological teachings. We believe: We are saved by the grace of God alone. We are not saved by anything that we do. Our salvation is through faith alone. Confidently trust God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life and salvation. The Bible is the norm for faith and life. Our Vision To be a community where everyone knows Christ's Love and shares Christ's Love with all people. Our Mission Christ works through us as we: Welcome all people to grow in faith, love and devotion, Share Christ through word and deed, Care for others and the world God made, and Work for justice and peace.
February 22, 2026 - February 22, 2026 - “Is There a God?”
Faith and doubt are not opposites—they are companions on the journey. In this honest and hope-filled series, we explore some of the hardest questions people ask about God, suffering, prayer, and belief. Whether you’re a lifelong believer with lingering doubts or someone new to faith and full of questions, this series creates space for honest reflection, spiritual wrestling, and a deeper, more resilient trust in God.
FOR TODAY: It can feel like almost an unspeakable question: Is there a God? But, let’s be honest, it’s one nearly every Christian whispers at some point in their life. Let’s stop whispering and ask it together. Really, is there even a God? And what does it mean for our faith when we doubt?
