What We Believe As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we believe in the basic principles of Martin Luther's theological teachings. We believe: We are saved by the grace of God alone. We are not saved by anything that we do. Our salvation is through faith alone. Confidently trust God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life and salvation. The Bible is the norm for faith and life. Our Vision To be a community where everyone knows Christ's Love and shares Christ's Love with all people. Our Mission Christ works through us as we: Welcome all people to grow in faith, love and devotion, Share Christ through word and deed, Care for others and the world God made, and Work for justice and peace.

Wednesday Lent Worship - March 9, 2022 - Baptism

• Mar 10, 2022

Speaker: Pastor Tyler Strom

We all know what it feels like to be “put in our place”, to be put down or shamed. And at times we’ve all done it to someone else. Once again, Psalm 23 speaks right into our world with a word of promise for each of us—God never has a word of shame for us. God gives us a place of honor, so that we might set a table that celebrates the gifts of others. We will soak in the promise that God delights in each of us. The Lenten theme at Word of Peace this year is Psalm 23, one of the best-known pieces of scripture by Christians all over the world. It is a text that is helpful in moments of need. During the season of Lent, we will return to this text day in and day out. We will pray it regularly, allowing it to enter our daily vocabulary at home, work, school, or community. And by reciting these words together, we will encounter a God who shepherds all of us, and discover in ourselves a need for the love of a shepherd to tend our needs
