Word of Peace Lutheran Church

What We Believe As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we believe in the basic principles of Martin Luther's theological teachings. We believe: We are saved by the grace of God alone. We are not saved by anything that we do. Our salvation is through faith alone. Confidently trust God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life and salvation. The Bible is the norm for faith and life. Our Vision To be a community where everyone knows Christ's Love and shares Christ's Love with all people. Our Mission Christ works through us as we: Welcome all people to grow in faith, love and devotion, Share Christ through word and deed, Care for others and the world God made, and Work for justice and peace.

October 27, 2024 - “Love Boldly: Humility”

• Oct 27, 2024
We see division and polarization all around us. It's easy to wonder if we will ever get along, yet Jesus shows us a better way. Jesus taught us that we should treat others as we want to be treated. This is commonly known as The Golden Rule, and it holds the power to bring people together again. Jesus calls us to transform a world hungry for healing and reconciliation with kindness, respect, humility, and compassion. Let's answer the call and "Love Boldly." For Today: Humility requires us to listen more and speak less. Good listeners make every effort to maintain unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
