The last of the seven letters to the churches in Revelation is the letter to Laodicea. In this letter, Jesus brings the charge against them that they are lukewarm. As we study this letter together, it is interesting to note how Jesus addresses this issue by using the three things the city of Laodicea is best known for to contrast the insufficiency of the church. As with all the letters, this one ends with an invitation. However the invitation here is a bit different as we see the picture of Jesus at the church door knocking.
