We reflect on a passage from the New Testament book of Revelation today that continues the interlude between the sixth and seventh trumpets in John's vision. This interlude is important, because it prepares us for the second half of the book by introducing some key themes. Like a TV series, the last two messages have been cliff-hangers, setting up a tension that needs to be resolved in this, the climactic episode. If trumpets and thundering don't convince people, then how does God get what God wants? And what do we have to do with it? This passage contains in a nutshell the central message of John’s whole prophecy.
