[Note-Includes children's message.] People change. Sometimes dramatically! A case in point are the disciples – first mentioned in our reading from Acts chapter 5 and then described fifty plus days earlier in John chapter 20. What we see in these two accounts is a radical transformation! What was the difference? It’s Jesus and His resurrection! Today we bask in the glow of Easter. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! We have victory. We have the certainty of a living Jesus. Easter people we are! Spirit filled we are! And like the disciples, we have been empowered to preach and teach the name of Jesus, and there’s nothing anybody can do to stop us!
