When I hold it up to my life, I don’t like what I see. What about you? What does God’s Word tell you? The Word of God says: All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. (Psalm 14:3) What then is our hope? Surprisingly, it is death. You see, like death releases a married couple from their marriage vows, death releases us from the law. Death is the release. Is this death our death? No, but rather the death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
