The book of Judges is the sad account of how apathy in one generation leads to apostasy in the next. Seven times, the recurring sinfulness of man was met with the persistent mercifulness of God. And although the book ends in chaos and confusion, it proves the need for deliverance, not only from our enemies, but from ourselves.
