Consider your freedom in Christ ni light of your ownership. Many become unique legalists(letter of the law): if the Bible does not specifically mention a certain thing, or practice, they claim that it is okay for them to practice it, as "The Bible doesn't say specifically that this particular thing is wrong, therefore it must be right!" We should rather be thinking, "Are the things not explicitly mentioned in the law the best things to do?" Don't think "What's wrong with it?" but rather, "What's right with it?" Will it control me? Why would I start something that would control me? All sorts of addictions come from experimentation in 'freedom'. In their pursuit of freedom, they find themselves enslaved.
