Christmas time is specially set aside to bring attention to the "incarnation" of our Lord God the Son becoming flesh and dwelling among us - so many carols describe this - O Come, O Come Emmanuel (God with us), Silent Night ("Jesus Lord at Thy birth"), Away in a Manger ("be near me Lord Jesus"), Joy to the World ("the Lord is come, let earth receive her king"), Angels We Have Hear on High ("Jesus Lord of heav'n and earth"), O Little Town of Bethlehem ("And praises sing to God the King", and "O come to us abide with us our Lord Emmanuel"), Hark the Herald Angels Sing ("Christ the Everlasting Lord", and "veiled in flesh the Godhead see hail the incarnate deity"), What Child is This? ("The King of Kings salvation brings"), Angels From the Realms of Glory ("God with man is now residing"), O Come All Ye Faithful ("Word of the Father now in flesh appearing", "Let us adore Him, Christ the Lord"), Jesus Wonderful Lord - Luke 24:13-27 & 44 - Christ "explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures" not just about Him but what spoke of Him (as "the Angel of the Lord", the "Shekinah" cloud/fire leading Israel and in the tabernacle, King, Creator, Everlasting Father, Son of Man (Dan. 7:13-14), "The Lord is our righteousness (Jer. 23:5-6) and "I AM" (Yahweh, Jehovah)) - The OT is full of His works, dealings and purposes - Mt. 5:17" Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill" and Heb. 10:7, " Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God". This was not just a special person born to be a good man and to show love by giving Himself for sinners, but this was the second person of the Godhead "veiled in flesh"!
