"What Good Are Thorns?"
Speaker: Pastor Ziemann
Could there be any good with thorns? They prick and bloody. They can be invasive and difficult to root out. Anyone dealing with a thistle patch knows what that is like. And yet, many good things come with thorns, a delicious juicy blackberry for one or a fragrant colorful rose for another. St. Paul endured a thorn as well, and he pleaded for God to remove it. What was God’s response? He said, “My grace is sufficient. My power is made perfect in weakness.” Someday it will all make sense, and we will see the truth. We will see the thorns in this life were only temporary and meant for our good, but eternal life with Jesus – no more tears, no death or pain, and most importantly no thorns - is forever.
