The nation of Israel is about to be destroyed. By all outward appearances God's choice of Israel as his chosen people seems to have been a failure. What's more, the idea that all the nations of the world would be blessed through the descendants of Abraham seems to have gone by the wayside too. Yes, it looked bad for Israel – for all the world for that matter. What was needed was a servant – a chosen servant sent by God. And here’s where some of you may scratch your heads and wonder, “Hey, didn’t I hear that before?” You did. Just last week, in fact. You were introduced to God’s chosen servant last week and this week God intends to tell you more about His servant so that His relationship with you will grow and deepen.
