“It Is Worth It!” Conflict? Taking up our cross? Losing your life? This seems like the makings of a very bad day. Who would welcome this? Who would be willing to go here? Jesus did, and He prepares us for it too. This begs the question – why even go there? As Christians, it is a matter of perspective. Compared to what is to come – eternal life in heaven with the angels, with those who have gone before us, and with Jesus Himself – these things look bearable. In fact, the troubles we face because of our faith are worth enduring for the sake of Jesus and the salvation He gives us.
