Jesus warned people not to labor for temporal food but to seek the eternal. How much effort do we put in things that won’t last? There is no method or list of works needed to be saved; we simply need to believe. Jesus will keep those who come to Him, and who will have a future hope and be raised on the last day to everlasting life.
