We like to define our lives by big events. The disciples asked Jesus to define the big event he predicted as the Temple's destruction. They wanted to know WHEN? Jesus gave them a when answer but it wasn't what they expected or wanted. Jesus describes pain suffering similar to a woman giving birth.
