Judaizers had come to the churches of Galatia telling believers that they needed to add circumcision to faith in Christ in order to be saved. While the Judaizers believed many of the essentials of the Christian message, Paul declared that the addition of any human work to faith in Christ for salvation makes the gospel proclaimed a false gospel.
