"How to Turn the World Upside Down" series, Part 9: The Truth Is . . .
Speaker: Timotheé E. Conort
Most believers, whether they realize it or not, live under the impression that if they follow Jesus, life is supposed to always work out for their good, which means the absence of hardships. The problem is, this is not just untrue but is dangerous to a healthy relationship with the Lord. It creates a false narrative that if things don't go the way we want them to, God is mad, or He doesn't care, or even brings into question His existence. To have a healthy relationship with the Lord, we need to truly embrace dying to self and realize it is about so much more than us as individuals; it is about His kingdom and its furtherment and that there is not always a happy ending this side of Heaven.
